I faced aggravated assault charges and was offered a 50 year sentence with no bond. With 7 prior felony convictions, I already thought I was done for. Shortly after hiring Doug's team, Sophie met with me, and soon after I was out on bond and able to fight the case from the outside. Over the following 7 months, the DA offered 25 years, which is still a life sentence. After a few court appearances, seeing the relationships Doug and Sophie had with the judges and prosecutors gave me hope. For the first time, I had that fighting chance. However, after going to court for months, it got to be too much, and I had lost all hope. I had accepted my fate. Then Sophie told me not to freak out. I had hope and the next court date, she told me the charge was dismissed. When Sophie told us, it felt like the world was lifted off our shoulders. It was all hugs and tears. It was over. I believe that if I’d hired anybody else, my case would have been different. I urge you to hire Doug Atkinson and his team if you find yourself in a similar situation.
