Janicka A. Arthur Adult Beginner Ballet Awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance from the prestigious Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. It was there I developed a passion for guiding mature dancers. The art and techniques of ballet helped me develop into a strong, confident woman who thrives in any situation. This same glass-ceiling-shattering motivation is what motivates me to empower students today. My mission is to show hard-working people like you that ballet is more than intricate steps and beautiful costumes. Ballet is an art form that fuels you to face your fears and let go of any preconceived notions. Ballet gives you the drive and courage you need to succeed. With Anna Paskevska, Randy Duncan, and many others, the Chicago Academy of Arts was luminous of the nation's high schools for dancing and visual performances. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in Ballet and Modern Dance, Jazz, and West African Dance. I also took extra training from The Ailey School, Ballet Chicago, Jeraldyne’s School of Dance, and Deeply Rooted Productions.
