At Park Cities Obedience School, we believe that there isn't a dog that can't be helped. Our two-week immersive in-kennel reside/train/play Board & Train program has provided consistent results in rehabilitating dogs with complex behavioral issues, such as aggression, separation anxiety, nuisance barking, biting, extreme shyness, and lack of socialization. This in-kennel Board & Train program is designed for those owners who do not have the time, desire to learn, or energy to train their dog in a group dog training class or private dog training lessons. During this two-week in-kennel program, dogs from all over the Park Cities, Highland Park, University Park, Downtown, Uptown, North Dallas, and Lakewood are brought to our location for an intensive in-kennel “boot camp” Board & Train program. Dogs in the program reside at our facility and are trained daily by our dog behavior expert, Karen Stark. Our professional dog trainer Phil Marr oversees all training. Our private lesson program utilizes top trainers, including Kim Fuquay. Kim has been training dogs for over 30 years. Kim and her dog Brinlee are Certified Therapy Dogs, and they regularly visit nursing homes and hospitals. Kim is available virtually anytime, 7 days a week. It is also good as all lessons are personally scheduled to fit your lifestyle. A common complaint about group dog training classes is that the classes are held at inconvenient times that do not always fit your personal schedule. With our private lessons, that can never happen! With private lessons, you are in charge of when you receive your training. With private lessons, you can choose to work your dog in a variety of locations; our building – which has a large play yard and training building – or our dog park, or in the comfort of your own home.

Reviewers are overwhelmingly happy with the dog day care and boarding facility. Many attested to their dogs’ apparent happiness and good care. Most reviewers noted that their dogs had been attending for years, with one saying that they have been going for six. These long-term customers trust the facility, and one reported they observed a significant health problem they missed elsewhere. Reviewers liked specific staff, like Claudia. Comments like ‘My dog enjoys coming here’ and ‘Great place for dogs’ were typical. Customers also felt that the facility was more affordable than similar services. Flexibility in hours and a good response to COVID were also important to reviewers. They also offer dog training, which Kim leads. A dissatisfied customer could not be found. Many reviewers said they would recommend Park Cities Pet Sitter and would return.
