In 2008, Centennial High School was where Chanel earned her diploma in Frisco, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies in Political Science at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. At Texas A&M University School of Law, she acquired her juris doctor in 2015. Chanel interned at two law firms and the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office under the supervision of the esteemed Honorable Brandon Birmingham, the Chief Felony Prosecutor and head of the Cold Case Unit at that time. After law school, Chanel worked at two personal injury firms where she managed up to 500 cases simultaneously. Chanel decided to open her firm, Rafie Douglas Abney Law, PLLC with her friends and co-workers Eric and Laura after learning enough to run her firm.
