Hey, I'm Lauren, The Traveling Canine Trainer. I learned that I could communicate with dogs at a young age. My parents did not understand the subject of dog training, so I taught my border collie-mix to Shake and Sit when I was seven in Louisiana. At eleven, I taught my family's Yorkshire Terrier how to sit, down, and go off-leash in Scotland. I took my family's Beagle and taught her to walk off-leash. She learned over 100 words in her life. I have a BS degree in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University, concentrating on Natural Resource Collections & Museums. I learned animal behavior in classes like ethology. In 2005, I began my career as a professional dog trainer and behaviourist in Dallas, when my friends and family kept asking me for dog help. Since 2005, I have trained over 100 dogs from 149 different breeds. Over the year, my clientèle has increased, and they have made over 250 referrals. My methods are based on science. The smallest dog I trained was a Yorkie, and the largest was a 180-pound Great Dane.
