The client retained Joshua Spencer, Attorney at Law, for representation in a dissolution of marriage proceeding that was ultimately discontinued by the client. An itemized accounting of services rendered and a refund of the remaining unearned retainer were formally requested via both email and telephone. Mr. Spencer verbally acknowledged the request and agreed to issue a check for the outstanding balance. However, despite this agreement and subsequent repeated attempts over a three-week period to follow up with the attorney and his staff, the client has yet to receive the agreed-upon reimbursement, a call from the paralegal, or the detailed, itemized statement of services rendered.
