Melissa's Gym Owner, Melissa Chavez-White, is a former elite gymnast. She coaches the Competitive Gymnastics Team as well as the All-Star Competitive Cheerleading Team. In 1984, an unfortunate event happened. Melissa, the first Olympic hopeful from El Paso, was killed. This was after suffering a knee injury and undergoing surgery. The surgery exposed her to a brain tumor. She continued hoping to open this gym. She hoped that young boys and girls of this city will be inspired to do like her so that they can also compete in the Olympic. Melissa's been able to help over 2000 girls, boys, and ladies for more than 30 years since they join her in the gym. She says that she is lucky to have been inspired by her mistakes. This has helped her succeed in both sports and also in business (Melissa's Gym, 2021).

The reviews for the gymnastics center are highly favorable. Reviewers say the gym is clean, the staff is friendly, and Melissa gets the best out of each kid to push them to their maximum potential. Kids are also encouraged to work as a team but still have fun while learning. It has been rated as the best in El Paso, and they are pleased with the clean and excellent facility. The kids are not overcrowded, and they have also given the site a thumbs up. Classes are engaging and productive, and they provide not only a good gymnastics training but also life training. This is good when they mention Melissa in the review and that she is a great conversationalist who can help the child in their future carrer. They love the fun fact protocol of itelves and the kids that are funny. My daughter attended two sessions there and had the best fitness and I was in therapy for two months. Definitely recommend!
