Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services was terrible- they rushed the whole time and made a situation worse. When we got to vet cemetery, they didn't even know the marine Corp laws. We sat at vet cemetery for 2 hours and then the burial was only 5 minutes. They gave the flag to his step granddaughter. While his only two real children were sitting there. Although our families' circumstances were a bit complicated - including some late arrivals and the fact that my brother's cremation was state funded without a traditional scheduled viewing - the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. they graciously allowed additional time for our family to say goodbye, even though their service had officially ended. we truly appreciate their patience, understanding and kindness throughout the process. it's clear the team at Advantage Funeral and cremation services cares deeply about the families they serve. Oct was simply remarkable. The gentleman who answered the phone was so rude, and I even heard one female coworker say, "we need to hurry him up" when he was towards the end of the call when I had questions. The man was already upset from working with the family of the deceased, but this guy just added to it by being so rude to him. Truly sad to leave this type of review but people should be warned.9. Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services of Houston was terrible. They only allowed my family 30 minutes to say goodbye to my uncle George Martinez and were only going to allow 8 people to go in to see him and my and my parents got there late due to traffic coming from Alvin and only allowed myself and my parents 5 minutes to say goodbye and my uncle was not even dressed he was just on a metal gurney and he was still in his hospital gown with a blue bed sheet over him. Come on do better. I know he is supposed to be cremate and because he was a ward of the state because of his special needs y'all need to do better.10. Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services were great. Their staff is very friendly and compassionate. They really help us out in what was a very difficult situation. They are very accommodating and tended to our needs. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.11.
