Lone Star Legal Aid

Our free legal education and legal services program ranks third in the country. Our service area includes one-third of Texas’s land area, covering 72 counties in Texas and four in Arkansas. This area includes almost 60,000 miles that stretch from Texarkana to Matagorda Bay and Central Texas. More than 2 million Texans are eligible for legal aid at no charge. We have 14 offices and many areas of law. Our services include consumer, tenant, foreclosures, public benefits, and environmental justice. Disaster recovery. Tax relief. Fair housing. Family law.
