About this business

John and Karen McCutchen, OSMML, OStJ, acquired On Time Electric, Inc., a family-owned-and-operated business, in 2014. Young John McCutchen's construction career began 39 years earlier as the Deputy Project Manager over the 75-story I.M. Pei designed Texas Commerce Bank Building (now Chase Tower) in the CBD of Houston. He learned all the aspects of construction by ascending career ladders, including project management, estimation, and service. McCutchen was elected to the Board of Directors, the youngest member in the firm's 75-year history. Fisk was sold to a UK contractor publicly traded in 1984. This prompted John McCutchen to form MH Technology, mirroring the philosophy of his former employer. MH Technologies would later become a leading electrical contractor in Texas, amassing $20 million in revenue within ten years, undertaking iconic projects like the Houston Texans Reliant Center (now NRG Stadium). He also was a stockholder at MH Technologies before moving to Houston. He served as an officer in the capacity of Vice President Business Development at a private domestic GC with a total value over $2 billion. Karen (Garrett) McCutchen attended the University of Houston for a master's degree in sculpting at the Lawndale School. She was trained by the infamous James Surls and worked as a professor at the Art Institutes for a decade. Her current venture focuses on public arts at Godstone Ranch. As part of giving back, she continues to teach art classes to her students at St. Martin's Episcopal Church. The McCutchens are active in community service in Texas through Texas Heart Institute and Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation. Moreover, they support the international charity through the Venerable Order of St. John and Savoy Orders of Saints Maurice and Lazarus. Godstone Ranch Motorsports donates all proceeds to Hands-OnlyCPR, a lifesaving technique, to raise awareness and funds. They are parents to two grown children.
