When Harris Moving & Storage Building became a part of the Sawyer Yards campus, it was renamed Spring Street Studios. This historic structure was redeveloped to contain 75 workspaces and a gallery corridor. The corridor hosts a variety of community events, attracting artists from a wide range of disciplines. Rail yards circle the origins of Houston's First Ward. Old warehouses became creative studios. This unique community of artists is a nucleus in Arts District Houston. Home to creative companies and public galleries, they also have excellent restaurants and entertainment. Our goal is to create a city that nurtures creativity and champions visionaries. We foster collaboration and synergize artists and innovators. Houston's art scene is the target we support, encourage, and develop art-related projects, markets, and programs. Our partnerships with local arts organizations are solid and help us achieve these goals.

The reviews showcase immense appreciation for the art and theatre space, with guests praising its uniqueness as an artistic and creative hub. Multiple mentions note the wonderful art seen on all walls, which also makes the experience worthwhile, and which for many different factors always round it out. Many reviewers have come again and again, to the artist gallery, the artistic, and theater scene, the shows, the works of the up-and-comers and introduction to aerial artists. The diversity offered is great, they all agree, and a variety of exhibitions are on-going at all times with the added joy of a neat, clean, and secure long parking. The general feelings are that the exposure to up-and-coming artists and a great time are important. There is no dearth of beautiful items for sale to tick away with. Otherwise, the activities in the center of Angeles facilitate the exposure of young and upcoming talent to a side of the community.
