About I’m Sarah Morris, the owner of The Light Fantastic Photography. I didn’t come into this world with a camera at my hip, like a lot of photographers, but it turns out that was always my fate. I studied journalism as my major at the University of North Texas from 2000–2005 and photography as an elective. then after the second class meeting I changed my major to Journalism & Photography. So, every semester we had to choose one topic to cover for the semester. I picked small Texas Towns somewhat arbitrarily and took off. Nothing like falling in love with an art form that it changed your course of study and then again by how amazing it is to be able to meet the people you’re capturing, by yourself, in someone else’s land where you’re basically a complete stranger. That semester cemented my love for the image-creation process, and the excitement of wanting to meet the people and make friends. Scared and excited, you become a butterfly. By the end of the semester, every time I had to say goodbye to someone, it basically hurt. Everybody was always happy to be photographed and see themselves in print, and I loved it.

The customers loved working with Sarah. They appreciated her patience and flexibility to ensure they were comfortable in her studio and received beautiful pictures.
