About this business
Writers of the West: Client Comments
Feedback Overview:
1. Positive experience. They were clear, prompt and kept me in the loop.
2. Recommended for authors. The team was detail-oriented, supportive, and invested in my vision.
3. Great service. Excellent writing and a supportive publishing team.
4. I recently used this company for one of my books that I just published. They mention that they can get the booking into best seller status which will boost my sales. That is not so. They merely promoted my e-book edition on Amazon so it temporarily boosts the algorithm in the Amazon category it is in but it is not a guaranteed basis for selling success. It worked a little but only temporarily. So when it wears off I go back to it selling virtually nothing through the e-book edition. So the point is that I believe this company is a scammer. They promote something that is not true claiming they will promote your book until it becomes a best seller in Amazon. You go to Amazon and you find that their e-books are not there or have not reached the best seller status. The company should admit their mistakes and change their methods and advertise the truth. So I am disgusted with how this company practices its marketing strategy. They are cheating its clients. I do not recommend this company for book promotion, authoring and/or publishing. This company is a liar.
5. Highly recommended. I wanted to share my wisdom with the world and this team made it happen! They brought my vision to life and helped me throughout the writing, editing, and publishing process. Thank you, Sarah!
6. My time at Writers of the West was truly amazing. The entire team, from start to finish, was professional, attentive, and phenomenal at every aspect of publishing. They took the time to understand my vision and executed it better than I imagined.
Communication was always clear and timely, and they supported and guided me through all the processes. The team’s attention to detail and care in all aspects, from the editing to design and final production, was incredible.
If you want a team that values your work, I recommend you work with Writers of the West. My book fulfilled my dreams.
7. It’s delicate to decide to stop a project, and even more so to share your bad experience with other authors.
However, this one is necessary. I suggest you get detailed information about what they will deliver, when they will launch your book, and what you will be doing. This is a dire review of Writers of the West and I regret recommending them. Writing a book is a hard and emotional process, and it makes no sense to pay for services that are lacklustre or have no results. I hired Writers of the West to edit a novel I had written. They said they could complete the project in two months but failed in their first attempt. The work I received was merely proofing notes, not the detailed editing I had paid for. The follow-up was inconsistent, and production was slow. Communication was incomplete. The team was polite but lacked delivery. I decided to terminate the contract early. I asked for a refund due to the poor quality of their work. They only returned 50% and refused to give me a refund for the proofreading they had done so far. I was not satisfied with their services, and they did nothing to help me change my mind. This company did not deliver the quality it promised.
8. Though they would respond to justify their lack of transparency, they neglected to mention that they took two weeks with my manuscript before working on it. And then they gave me a fraction of what I had paid for. This company gives substandard services. I paid $1200 in full for editing. They promised to give updates each week but failed. When I got the first deliverable, it was merely proofreading marks. How can you charge me $1000 and only give me a handful of marks? The writer said that they use a general touch, and my material was already done. That was a lie. After receiving an assurance email, they stopped communicating. This was worrying, and I disagreed with their way of doing things. They started to insult me, saying that the charges were reasonable. This company is a hoax. When I asked for a refund, they said I should pay 300$. This was unacceptable. They even said that I was not reading the emails correctly. That’s petty. The charges were too high, and they could not communicate clearly. They did not refund my money without a lot of struggle. This company is not the best. They lack professionalism.
9. Authors must review the cost structure of Writers of the West to avoid the trick.
My writing journey began when I received a publishing contract from a small company. I disagreed with most of the conditions, and I decided to cancel the agreement. I then contacted Writers of the West. My writer, Francis, guided me. And then Chad took over. It was a smooth operation.
10. Writers of the West helped publish my first book, and it was a great experience. The company is good, and they kept their word. I will continue to use their services and probably make you my lifetime publisher since you are the best.
11. My experience with Writers of the West was awesome. Thanks, guys!
