James D. Hurst, P.C. Review: Customer Experience Report - Our experience with Mr. Hurst was less than favorable. He was hired on March 12, 2025 via our attorney to assist in the collection of a court award. We contacted our attorney every 2-3 weeks to get an update on the collection process. Our attorney was first informed that Mr. Hurst’s paralegal was drafting the document – a garnishment of a bank account. On May 2 his paralegal told our attorney the documents were done and waiting for signature. On June 10 Mr. Hurst informed our attorney he was withdrawing from this case due to the “pressure” to get this document completed and submitted. This is after almost 3 months of getting NOTHING. On June 24, we were finally issued a partial refund of the retainer he was given. He kept $400 for his “time and work”. We then asked him directly for a copy of the work product that cost us $400 and found several major errors; the wrong company was listed as the garnishee and an unknown name listed as the defendant! As soon as I gave him my money to defend me, he did not! Our first hearing my ex perjured himself, Jd did noting, he didn't want to because he wouldn't get his money, I had just paid him. Lie after lie. I wouldn't recommend him ever! Unless you want an attorney that is going to help the opposing side. What a 3 year mess! I finally had to let him go. Not only is he a highly distinguished lawyer amongst his peers and colleagues, but this man is a "pit bull" in the courtroom. I would trust this man with everything I own. His impeccable reputation, not only with his clients, but with the Judges and prosecutors in the courtroom is a direct reflection of his long term and continued success in ALL areas of the law.
