The intake specialist took my information over the phone, then sent me a contract to sign electronically. Before signing, I asked if I could come into the office to meet with an attorney to make sure the firm would be the right fit for me. The intake specialist gave me a timeframe when an attorney would be available. Upon arrival she had the contract ready so I could it sign on the spot. When the attorney came in, my first question was whether he had reviewed my case. His answer was unapologetically “No.” When I asked why, he said that I had not signed the contract yet. I expressed that I was disappointed he had not at least been briefly familiar with my situation before the meeting, since I had taken the time to come in with questions after a hit-and-run accident.
