Client #7: For the sake of your case or your loved one, Do Not hire Lara. She doesn´t care about anyone except getting the case over as quickly as possible. She´ll push you to take the first offer that comes your way, if you are fortunate to have any offers made--if you want to call it that. Rumor has it that all she does is walk around meeting with her colleagues and chatting on the phone to her boyfriend or husband. She completely disrespects you by taking personal calls while in your home and too in front of your whole family. She doesn't seem to care about what sort of predicament you guys are in., she´s definitely not able to be trusted. She completely fumbles the case. She practically sits there and lets the prosecutor have their way with you. Then she shuts the case after she insists you accept a plea.
She won't read the reports about the case. She just does not seem inclined to comprehend this. She openly stated that she thought it was a terrible idea to try the case, that she felt that if we took this to a trial, we will lose, and that I should just accept the plea deal. To allow your loved one and family be thoroughly humiliated, and the victim get away with it, then claim it’s a victory is intolerable. Then she gets a guilty plea from your loved one just to avoid any confrontation and stress. She probably got a good laugh out of that one! She won’t even show up to court until it’s the VERY LAST court date for the case. She showed up to my case 30 minutes late to court, the judge was ready to leave by that time. She was acting as if everything was fine and dandy. Then as she barged in and mumbled some words at him, and that was all. Then the judge told her to “shut up”, and she brought the matter to him. Who gets told to “shut up” by a judge?
She then barely reads your paperwork or listens to your concerns after accepting the plea offer. Be happy if you’re chosen to live another day with the judge. No further questions, you go to jail. She won’t show you how to get your case back. There is no way you can get your case back unless it’s for a free consultation or to pay $$$$$, and even then, she won’t go all out for you.

Client #9: I’m sure Lara was a decent lawyer at one time, but she appears to be in need of a good psychiatrist at this point. Her office rarely answers the phone, they never respond to emails, always too busy goofing off. Lara could not have been too bothered by the case because she didn’t even state my husband’s name correctly on his briefing and that was just the tip of the iceberg of that baloney she turned in! I highly recommend acquiring a different appellate attorney! She made NO argument for his case, did not look into his case, and blew it off and washed her hands of it!
