The inception of Blue Star Biking started with a need. The Blue Star Brewing Company was one of the first brewpubs in San Antonio. Shortly after opening, owner Joey Villarreal and his wife, Magdalena, needed a way to get around the massive warehouse! So, in 2004 they opened the Blue Star Bike Shop within the walls of the brewery, and moved it to its very own location right next door in 2009. Blue Star Biking Co. then became a full-service bike shop, leading to our expansion and remodel in 2017.
