Gloria's Barber College is committed to providing motivated men and women with the skills they need to succeed in men's hair and skin services, at a low cost! Those who wish to complete the curriculum may apply for Texas State Certifications as a Barber, Technician or Instructor. Our certifiable training includes the following: *Haircuts *Shaving *Perming *Coloring *Highlighting *Relaxing *Facials For those with experience, refresher training is also offered. Gloria is originally from San Antonio. After attending both Beauty and Barber College, she became a barber teacher. She has operated 3 salons over the course of her 35-year career, including the present salon. She also owns Gloria's Hair Design. In May 2014, she sold this salon to focus on teaching at Gloria’s Barber College. Gloria Jean Blackwell, her daughter, is another instructor at Gloria’s Barber College. In San Antonio, she is the only Mexican American female with a Barber Teacher's License. Six years of expertise with a Barber Board state examiner (PSI) and Beauty and Barbering led to her opening "Gloria's Barber College" in Fall 2010.
