Texas Sterling Construction

Texas Sterling Construction has been in the business since 1955 when Sterling Construction Company was formed in Michigan. The company was established as an underground infrastructure contractor in 1955 and gradually grew over the next two decades. Being one of Michigan's most respected, most reliable, and most experienced contractors, Sterling managed to build over 400 underground infrastructure projects in the state. However, the Michigan construction market significantly reduced in size in the early 1980s. That is when Sterling's optimism and hard work led him to transfer the company to Houston, Texas, where it was renamed Texas Sterling Construction Co. The business grew rapidly and Sterling continued to be the president. By 1993, TSC had been able to capture most of the competitive market share of Texas construction companies. The company managed to secure bridge and highway construction projects from the Texas Department of Transportation.
