This report reflects my personal experience and sets to provide factual feedback for future clients. I bought a $5700 multi-zone laser hair removal package, and I paid the full fee upfront. Given the higher cost of the package (compared to other packages available in the market), I chose this clinic as I believed in their advanced technology, professionalism, and long-term effectiveness. After five treatments, which cost me $5712.5, there was essentially no significant hair reduction in any of the treated areas as compared to what I had before starting the treatment. A couple of things did not feel right regarding the functional and operational facets of the process: I was attended to by two different specialists, and their approaches were not very consistent. During the last session, I was explained that an ideal laser treatment should cause some sort of discomfort. However, in the first 4 sessions, I did not feel anything which made me wonder whether my settings were too low. The first session was done on overgrown hair, and I was told it was not the best as it might affect the level of effectiveness. I was also expected to come with a clean-shaved body for every treatment. This meant that they had not seen how hair grew naturally within the cycle of my last treatment. Therefore, there was no perfect way to assess the real growth or progression. As a result, no adjustments were ever made to the original settings since there was no visual evidence to show how the body was reacting to the procedure throughout the journey. Whenever I expressed concerns about the lack of results, I was given more of an individual-anatomical explanation instead of a proper technical review of the control panel that was used. The technical setup was not reviewed extensively, and the feedback was much more tied to individual reasons. During our chat with management, they got too much into the science territory, mentioning possible medical or hormonal factors that may interfere with the expected results. They even brought up references to some treatments or medicine that I had never taken, which created an element of confusion. This approach left me with many questions since I had to know where these assertions would have been coming from. Their narrative suggested they were scientists and were looking at the treatment from a medical eye lens which felt like their scope was limited. I may have preferred a more factual review of the laser settings themselves and how they were executing them instead of going the medical route and bringing up medical records. Even the follow-up felt more inclined to the medical side than enough time analyzing the settings and its control. In our last discussion with their management, there was an offer of an extra session at no cost or a refund for the last session that was not used. Though this was a good move, given that the total cost of the package, close to $5700, and the outcome even after five sessions, I may have agreed to have a more proper review of the treatment processes than just another session only. Moreover, in the last discussion, when I raised the issue of whether the settings could have led to these results, the conversation quickly ended, and we never went over the technical ways of how the setting was done. The owner was not there, and he was the reason I chose to work with the clinic.
