Cabela's Old Dominion's 2 nd Location is seated on 13,21 acres in West Broad Marketplace. It is located near Interstate 64 on the corner of West Broad Street & Cold Hill Lane. The Old Dominion history and landscape are throughout the entire store. When you walk through our doors, you will be greeted by rustic stonework and logs. You will have a 360-degree view of nature in the form of photography & murals. The black-and-white photography shows local Virginians having fun in the outdoors. You can enjoy the museum quality wildlife exhibits as you walk through this store. Our conservation mountain includes a likeness of “short pumps” which are found in Saunders’s Tavern. This tells the (Short Pump, Virginia) history of the area. Our conservation mountain includes a 40,000-gallon aquarium of a local population of freshwater fish. While you are walking through our store’s Archery Department, you should look for our state bird and try out our 15 yard archery range. The Gun Library is only a few steps away from the Archery Department under a zebra and lion display. You will appreciate the rustic lodge atmosphere of the Gun Library where you can sell and buy used firearms.

Most of the reviews are positive. There was a nice atmosphere, superior spring bass fishing supplies, and a favorable boat purchase experience due to the excellent service and amicable staff. Nonetheless, there were some challenges. One customer indicated that a store manager was impolite while another said that the store prices were high. Customer satisfaction varied much, and it seemed that many customers had a good experience. Cleanliness, unrestricted shopping experience, convenience and a lot of items on sale. Many reviews indicated that customers would return to the store. However, some aspects of the store such as prices need to be corrected. Staff at the storefront deliver excellent service. They are knowledgeable and willing to assist shoppers in every way possible. Many customers expressed pleasure in their purchases. The other indoor decorations are great as well. So Cabela's may experience some customer service foibles, but most of the customer ratings are high and may not be of significant concern.
