Dermatology Associates of Va: Rountree Carl Joan MD Dermatology Associates of Virginia is dedicated to providing central Virginia high-quality, compassionate dermatologic care at a reasonable cost. Charles M. Caravati, Jr., M.D., was born in Richmond and founded Dermatology Associates of Virginia, Inc., in 1969. The initial office was on Hamilton Street, near the West End. It was later moved to Grove Avenue. There are currently twenty-one practitioners in six locations throughout central Virginia. One office is located in Colonial Heights, and five more are located in Richmond. Skin diseases may affect patients of any age. Our physicians and physician assistants provide medical and surgical treatment. We focus on treating skin conditions and cancers, but we provide many aesthetic services. Our expert team covers all skin conditions in a comfortable, beautiful, and convenient space. All of our dermatologists are board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology. All of our dermatologists are also members of various local, national, and state medical and dermatological professional organizations. DAV was among the founding partners of MD Value Care in Richmond, VA, a group of independent physicians practices.
