She went above & beyond. She was honest, up front, supportive, knowledgable, caring, communicative, helpful, & overall a great experience. Margaret is nice & helpful on the phone in the office & in person. Chelesea assistant Jessica was also amazing, always on it, very communicative, & got answers as soon as she could in a very timely manner. These ladies are awesome! 2. After she takes your case, here is what happens: You call her office and no one picks up. You send her an email and she doesn’t respond. You go to her office, but there is no one there. Her office is across from the industrial buildings in a dump. She shows up to court late. She postpones cases by months, recently to go to Cancun. She cannot spell much or does not have anyone proofread what she writes, which you see time and time again, it makes it so I have to interpolate what she actually intended to write. And now, due to Chelsea’s abject unprofessionalism, incompetence, and/or recalcitrance, her client is on the cusp of homelessness. 3. EDIT: I am 100% a former client. Please read and be warned: This firm was unreliable, unresponsive, unorganized, and, honestly, just super unprofessional from beginning to end. I would caution anyone and everyone against hiring them. Family law issues are hard enough to navigate without this added stress of involving Advocate Law. If you want smart, hardworking, and empathetic representation, look elsewhere. 4. Unresponsive and Unreliable Representation This firm has been extremely disappointing. When my sister faces urgent issues in her ongoing custody and divorce case, she cannot reach her attorney for help or guidance. Communication is inconsistent, and there’s no clear way to get timely answers when situations come up with her husband. In a case this serious, clients deserve an attorney who is accessible, proactive, and supportive — not one who leaves them feeling lost and unrepresented. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this firm to anyone seeking dependable legal counsel. 5. I’ve emailed, called, left voicemails, left messages with office staff, and have not received any communication back for months, for the status of my case. I asked for the remaining of my retainer to be returned to me. Will update this review as needed. 6. Chelesea and Caroline are wonderful! 7. Chelesea gave her all for me throughout my entire case. She not only cares about the outcome of litigation but takes great pride in being someone who supports and respects her clients. She spent countless hours working with me, responding to my every message and call, and ensuring I was able to do what was best for my son. I’m lucky to have found someone so kind, helpful, and professional. I highly recommend her firm as being the best in Roanoke. 8. Extremely communicative and began helping me the second I reached out! Very appreciative 9. Caroline was fantastic to work with. She was very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, was empathetic, and compassionate. Overall, she helped me get the result I wanted. If you ever find yourself in a position of needing to hire an attorney, I absolutely recommend Caroline. 10. Chelsea is professional, responsive, and compassionate when it comes to difficult family matters. She has supported me a couple of times through a very difficult time and done a great job.
