Thistle’s heart, backbone, and brain- Aubry, MSN, FNP-C; Aubry M.D. is a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Thistle. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary Washington where she graduated with Highest Distinction. She pursued her Masters in Nursing at George Mason University and graduated summa cum laude. She is a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, or CANS, which is an accreditation by the Plastic Surgical Certification Board. Aubry initially began her nursing career as an Army Nurse at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. on a medical-surgical floor. Here, she cared for wounded soldiers, and in some cases, veterans. She is extremely proud to have had the honor of serving her country. After her time as an army nurse, she shifted fields and started her aesthetics journey in 2005 as a nurse injector and has been boosting women's confidence for over 18 years! Before transitioning into nursing, she attended the Art Institute of Portland, where her artistic touch for medical aesthetics took root. Thistle was her healing sanctuary and the perfect blend of her love for art, hosting, and aesthetics in a communal and social environment with some fun mixed in. She enjoys assisting women in enhancing their natural features. Aubry wanted to bring a fresh perspective to the aesthetics industry. Let's be frank, medical treatments and injectables are often associated with rich housewives of Beverly Hills: luxury and out-of-reach for the average girl.
