He is one of the most knowledgeable, sensible, and hard-working contractors I know, and his wife Kristin assists him and is also very sensible and responsible. Our solar tank was leaking, and Joel knew exactly what the problem was and how to proceed. Very few specialists in solar hot water in DMV, and despite this near-monopoly, Joel gives excellent and professional service. Highly recommend for solar hot water-related work. Hard Working and Committed I've an almost 40-year relationship with American Solar through both hard and good times, and they have always done a great job. I had old solar panels removed for the installation of a new roof with new solar panels. Despite the project completing with unfortunate delays caused by unforeseen circumstances, the people of Joel G.and American Solar made it right. That deserves a thumbs up! Good Work Joel and his team are great! Prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. They also know solar! Commitment to Integrity My company was contracted to replace a roof with solar panels that needed to be detached and reset. I reached out to American Solar to have the company do this work for us. The detach happened in July, then the founder of the company passed away. This left us without a company to reset the solar panel on the new roof surface, as no other company would touch it. This left us with a situation where we don’t accept final payment until the job is completed. For months we were without a company, and it looked like a big write off was going to happen. Fast forward to December and after several emails and phone calls, they were back! He took a half-hour of his day to personally explain what happened through the trying times, and what was the current situation. Two weeks later he is dedicated to the job, and we have good faith that it will be completed soon. It would be easy for him to keep ducking us, but he has done what he said he would do. Many people do that, but Joel is facing people who were rightfully upset, and he took the time to make it right, months after the fact. That’s a very hard thing to do unless you have high integrity, and that’s what American Solar proved to me today. Quick and Efficient Service Outstanding service with expeditious care!!
