After university, I started at the Chrysm day spa, where I climbed the ladder to become the lead esthetician; hence, I earned my Master of Esthetics from the Chrysm institute of Esthetics while still learning. At the time, I operated a private room within the school called Skin Care by Tessa, where I provided clinical and therapeutic skin care for my clients. Here, I also taught professional classes. I have a certification and license in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Master Esthetician. I am a member of the Associated Skin Care Professionals and hold certification for advanced treatments such as dermaplaning, chemical peels, collagen induction therapy, LED therapy, ultrasound, radio frequency, microcurrent, plasmatic enzyme therapy, oxygen therapies, and cryotherapy. After graduating from The Chrysm institute of Esthetics and learning from the best esthetician of my area to later open my own salon and spa, I decided I needed a more advanced degree in Esthetics. I have specialised certifications and training in medical treatment modalities, such as Intense pulse light (IPL), La Roche Posay cryotherapy and dermaplaning (CO2) as well as PCA skin biology and chemical peel training under the instruction of a doctor. For a year and a half now, I have been a spa manager and lead esthetician at a medical center. I am a licensed and certified Master Esthetician in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I am also a member of Hands-On Trade Association and Allied Health Association.
