Feedback from Client- 1. All the sessions I had with Ryland Mahre were as good as the also never good. I never say anything actually good that is the truth about the experience of having a public defender. They have so many cases they're always too busy to actually help. I stand corrected. My name is [Name], and I got help from Ryland Mahre. Even though I got rejected several times by other public defense attorneys in the North County, Ryland Mahre took my case. It was clear to me that he was not being racist. He was just too caring about my case. I know that because he was concise about what he would do. His response to my question was short and clear, and he gave a precise approach. He dismissed two cases of mine in less than 90 days because he knew the law better than the prosecutors and the judges. It felt like he bullied them and won the case for me. 2. The North County Public Defense is incredible. I am sure other departments are good. I know many people who claim to have been helped by other departments because the attorneys are well stable, but whom did not get helped must have made it up. I met Hana and Thomas. They are good attorneys. They took their time to negotiate and dismiss some cases for me. Ryland Mahre is also respected by other attorneys. He walks like a lion when he is out of the court but treats us like his cubs inside there. He is good at his job, and I cannot doubt his capability. Everyone who works with him is always happy because he can always get them out of trouble. I feel good writing this review because it is the first time I am grateful to an attorney. I never thought that could happen. 3. I regret choosing North County Public Defense. I wish I had gone to a private attorney. I would have received better services from them than from here. I remember I was desperate, and I wanted help so badly. I was charged with murder, and I did not know where to start. When I walked into the North County Public Defense office, I met this guy. I forget his name because they change them every time. When I look at his picture, I won't remember him. He did not help me as a client. He helped me as a customer because it seems like they are always in a hurry. He gave me a trial date and missed it. That was not good because I was planning to attend it. If they are always busy, why do they take all the cases around the North County? We are human beings who need to get out of prison. They should consider that for once. One thing I like was their customer care. They are good on that. They care more about us than their job. They invite us before handling their business. I cannot say that I hate them. I can only say that I regret choosing them. Next time I will choose to go on my own with the court. That will save time and energy. 4. Suboptimal. Brought to you by the North County Public Defense. This man is an inexperienced attorney. I will not blame him for that, but being brought a reckless driving charge at the age of 17 was not good enough to make him my lawyer. I was brought the North County Public Defense, and I remember having Mr. Shon as my attorney. He was young, and I expected him to be an aggressor with the prosecutors. It was the opposite. He was more than a friend to them than to me. He took long to get the case dismissed. I had to suffer for about two months waiting for the case to end. It was the most stressful moment of my life. I was so confused, and I didn't have another option. I could not change the attorney because it was not my choice in the first place. 5. North County Public Defense does not treat all people equally. They believe that criminals deserve their rights. I was charged with a carjacking offense. I was never allowed to explain myself to the court. I was sentenced to 20 years in prison. They never took my case because they believe that if you have a case, you have it. They don't give all the people equal chances. I felt unrecognized as a human being. I felt like I was not human at all. I did not even have the chance to be listened to. It feels bad. However, I knew that when I heard that I had been sentenced to 20 years. 6. I would have a better experience in another public defense office. The North County Public Defense was full of a committed attorney who never took concern in my case. When I went there, I had all the evidence to prove that I was wrongfully imprisoned for the crime. When I presented the evidence to them, they told me that they were not the right people to handle that. They directed me to a wrong law office where they took long to save my life. It was not a good experience. I felt a lot of pain and regret choosing to go there. When they take your case, they expect you to go to court with no enough evidence. That won't help at all because you are already aware of your situation. They should change their way of doing things for the sake of the client's good. 7. Customer service is an essential aspect of a business, but I was wrong. Customer service should be helpful to clients. The North County Public Defense staffs are friendly to all the people who go there. They talk in a way that they care for the customer's needs. That is right, but how about the services they give the customers? When I went to the North County Public Defense office, I met the office is very full of people. It was a sweet moment to see that they are always busy in their job. I thought, maybe this is the right place I have come to look for help. The warm welcoming smile that the customer care gave me made me feel as if I were in the right place. It was a cute moment for me. They took my case and told me that they would handle it. It was my joy to hear so. I had faith in them because of the customer care. They talked to me well and even gave me an appointment to know my progress. That was not good because they never followed up on that. The administration does not take the clients to be their customers. They take the clients as their paychecks. This is wrong because it shows that they are after earning money. 8. I rate them less than a star. This will be the worst review I have ever given to any customer care. When I was charged with a murder case, I had no option, but I went to the North County Public Defense to seek legal services. I remember introducing myself to the customer care, but they gave me a hard time when they didn't allow me to explain myself. I explained myself but in the wrong way. The customer care thought that I was not worth becoming their customers. They did not give my case a priority. I waited for so long before they even noticed that I was still in the lobby. I communicated to them, but they did not give me a listening ear. That was not good for the administration. The customer care should learn how to take clients as their customers. They should not judge clients from their appearance or their social status. We have different backgrounds, but we are all equal in the eyes of the law. 9. Good when in court bad out of0_10. This is a review regarding the North County Public Defense. When I first went to the office, I received the best customer care. I went to the front desk, but the person on duty gave me the best treatment ever. She gave me a smile and direct me to where I expected. I was happy because I had a case pending in court. I was not aware of what was happening. The case had been adjourned severally, but the customer care assured me that the case would go on. The case was not easy because it had been linked to carjacking. I felt weak within myself. The customer care followed up my case until the last bit. The court pronounced my case dismissed as I did not have the evidence to prove myself guilty. The customer care was good, and I cannot wait to get another time with them. 10. The person who was supposed to handle my case did not show up. This is wrong because I had taken time to go and explain myself. I arrived in their office early in the morning. I was attended to, but I was later informed that the person who was to handle my case was sick. The inconvenience was not good for me because I had other plans. I expected the attorney to show up because he was aware of my case. I feel so bad that I had to explain myself to another person because the attorney failed to appear. This was not a good experience because I had gone there with the hope that he would help me. I was charged with carjacking, but I had proof that I was not involved in it. However, I failed to see the attorney. This was not a good thing for the administration. The customer care should take the clients as their customers because they are the reasons why they are there. 11. Failure to deliver as agreed. This is a reflection regarding the customer care. I was stunned that they never let me in the office on time.5_118. My story is one of the worst. I was charged with murder at only 17 years old. I knew I was wrong, so I engaged the North County Public Defense. The customer care was good, and I felt safe confessing my sins to them. It was a moment to prove to the clients that I was really innocent. This is mostly in cases dealing with murder, carjacking, and many other crimes that can take away someone's life. I felt free when I was attended to. This was a good moment because the attorney gave me hope that I would go scot-free. He pleaded with the court to give me a second chance, and they listened to him. The lawyer seemed to be a good person, and I needed to be associated with him. 12. I felt good after the court case. The customer care had pledged to give me a direct appointment with the attorney so that I could see the final bit of my case. I arrived at the office prepared to meet with the lawyer as they had promised, but I was informed that the lawyer was held up. This was not a good thing for me because I had to wait for so long. I waited for almost three hours before the lawyer showed up. I knew that something was wrong, so I wanted to leave the office. The attorney did not show up, so the customer care had to take me through the case. I was explained everything contrary to what I expected. I was not expecting such kind of service. The case was a murder, and I was waiting for the attorney to help me out of the case. I became impatient hence the need to rush out of the office. 13. The customer care explains that the attorney was on important errands, so he had to be late for all this long. I understand that, but the customer care had given me the exact time when the attorney would appear. This was not good because I had prepared myself, but the attorney turned up late. This was not a good moment for me because I had enough evidence to prove my innocence in the murder case. I had done the arrangement on how to prove myself to the court. The attorney failed to show up, hence the need to reorganize myself. The attorney showed up, but he seemed not to be at peace with his mind. He seemed to be in a hurry to get the case done within the shortest time possible. This is what makes me feel low. The lawyer was in a hurry, yet I had given him enough evidence to prove me innocent. He never listened to what I had to say. This was so annoying because I could not even imagine why he was in a hurry. He was not following the court procedures hence the need to rush and finish up everything. 14. What makes me feel bad is how the customer care tries to cover up the mistakes done by the attorney. They falsely claim that the lawyer was on an official errand, yet I had arrived at the office early in the morning. The attorney had promised to show up, so I felt safe by waiting for the attorney to handle my case. I was there to see that my case was dismissed, but the attorney failed to handle the case. This was not a good experience because I was not expecting the attorney to be busy with official duties. The customer care should have protected the attorney who was aware of my case. This was not a good experience because I had gone through a lot to come to their office. I had presented the evidence, but all in vain. I regret choosing to go to the office because I was not served as expected. The administration should take that as a lesson and make sure that the clients are helped as expected. This is what I am always fighting for.
