I offer individual and couple therapy, as well as Discernment Counseling to those on the brink of divorcing. As part of my counseling practice, I also provide life coaching services. You can find my private practice in Seattle, Washington. I am part of a select group of scholars at the Chicago Center for Family Health (CCFH). Growing up, it was difficult to see how my family members struggled with their difficulties. My move to this practitioner was catalyzed by seeing them and many other households, unions, or partnerships suffer from trauma or other relational challenges. I have worked in psychotherapy for more than fifteen years. I have studied with leaders and specialists in the field who are profoundly qualified. Many are well-known scholars who have received numerous awards. They specialize in couples, families, integrative medicine, premarital counseling, and trauma therapy. I have treated patients from various cultures: African-American, Latinx, East, and South Asian, Pacific Islander, African, Middle Eastern, and LBGT couples and individuals. I also have experience in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma. Many of these clients have had diabetes, chronic pain, heart disease, pulmonary conditions, cardiac problems, genetic conditions, and HIV/AIDS. This experience has been an opportunity to help my patients. One of the few counselors trained and authorized in Discernment counseling (CCDC) in Washington State. Discernment counseling is not like typical therapy. It is designed for clients who are contemplating divorce and need assistance in making a decision. The method is useful when one or both members are unsure about ending the marriage. You will receive the help needed to determine whether you want to stay married and work out your problems, separate, or prepare to divorce.
