W What began as a seasonal holiday light business at the urging of close friends and family has grown into a prosperous home detailing enterprise. In 2009, Brett Farrington and Sharla Dodd, inspired by their adventurous travel dreams, founded Renova Exteriors. Their close friends and family members continue to assure them by coming back every holiday season for our founder to illuminate Seattle's neighborhoods, homes, and businesses. In 2014, Sharla and Aya, a baby girl, moved on. Brett's decision to step into the role of a manager with an administrative and management team was made in 2014. Due to their growing family and company, in 2017 Brett and Sharla made an agreement to transition the holiday lighting company into a full-year business called Renova Exterior Detailing. This was the perfect marriage for the holiday lighting business. Renova Exterior Detailing became a full-detail home detailing business with the help of close-knit staff and managers. Brett, with hard work and dedication, began to grow the company. He also had the opportunity to attend the SBA Emerging Leaders Program. The process he started with the program, which involved a three-year growth strategy, has turned the company into a full-time home detailing business. With administrative and management staff, the company now provides health care and paid time off and serves the Seattle commercial and residential markets. In the future, Brett and Sharla hope to measure the company's success in terms of its employees' increased economic value and re-imagine the role of small businesses in the community. Renova and the Holiday Spirit Lighting will provide full-year home detailing. Additionally, Renova will illuminate the holiday months by offering lighting installation services. Brett has a vision to propel the company forward in an environmentally conscious way through an environmental impact program that will net-positively capture carbon, provide healthy food, and restore natural resources for future generations.
