Do yourself a favor and go Tricare Select. This US Family Health Plan is not worth it. I'm trying to cancel it now and am getting the run around on the phone. My US Family Health Plan is thru Christus. I hate trying to deal with them. They put you on hold and the pre recorded music/voice is singing praises unto Jesus while you wait. Then they lie to you, what would Jesus do? This company just loves Mamon. Totally disgusted with it and the quality of PCP's that they offer.
Most of the primary care physicians in my area are not taking new patients. The doctors who are taking new patients say they won’t be able to book me for an appointment until next year. I am a kidney transplant recipient who can’t get a referral to see my doctor because of this Primary care physician issue. I spoke with customer service and was told that there are no remedies for my situation. The rep also said that many people have called in with the same complaint. If that’s the case, then, US FHP should be ashamed of themselves for mandating members have a primary care physician without having enough of them on the roster.
Providers list is limited. I've had multiple issues with payments including them not paying for labs which are supposed to be no co pay. I had horrible problems trying to find a behavioral health provider. I do not recommend this company.
