Two local family businesses, West Seattle Natural Energy and West Seattle Electric, owned and operated by the Hughes family officially merged in 2017 and became West Seattle Electric and Solar. Four members of the Hughes family namely Lin Hughes and Keith Hughes (co-owners), Amy Hughes, and Ryan Hughes manage the new company. The company provides 10% off labor on both electrical and solar jobs, being the exclusive Puget Sound-based veteran-owned company to do so.
