Dr. Gilpatrick, (G.P. Schmidtke was born and raised in Appleton where he graduated from Xavier High School in 1993. He pursued his Bachelor of Arts degree (Psychology) at the University of Notre Dame with pre-professional studies included. Marquette University School of Dentistry awarded him a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997. He became a cum laude member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental academic fraternity. Dr. Schmidtke completed his orthodontic certification in 2006 after earning his Master’s degree in dental surgery. Dr. Gilbert Schmidtke, his father, had been a mentor to Dr. Gilpatrick since this time. Their family continues to operate Schmidtke Orthodontics in Appleton, Wisconsin, where they have worked since Dr. Gilbert Schmidtke passed away in 2010.
