Kim began her career at Photography by Leiningers in 1979 and left in 1984. She graduated from Madison with an associate degree in photography and then worked at a lab for several years. She returned to Green Bay and worked for Turba Photo until starting her own business. In the commercial world, her portraiture has been acknowledged with several awards, including the Prestigious Fuji Masterpiece Award and Loan Collections. Her unique way of capturing children's portraiture has been discussed as a keynote speaker in WI and MI by Kim Martin. Kim is a two-time recipient of an Associate’s degree in photography from the WI Professional Photographers of America.
