Muse Independent Styling

Heussner launched Muse Independent Styling in 2012 at Gilman and University. It is a salon devoted to making relatable hairstyles with imagination, love, and learning. Here at Muse, you can get a picture of our personal style. Round wall-hanging IBM classic schoolhouse clock? Check. Almost all card catalog color-holding box? Salvaged from UW-Madison’s Memorial Library. The 1960s location of our office buildings? The street may have changed, but we didn’t. Our menu of drinks is a rotating collection of local coffee creations and handcrafted cocktails made by our baristas and mixologists. We also feature the work of local artists in our shop.
