They will not fight for you but will ask you to accept your children getting the short end of the stick. They claim that a regular retainer and hourly rate balance out anyway and you will be pushed to close a case to save them money before they ask for more. They also said that the explanation they provided was not very detailed, privacy laws were mentioned, and since both live in Texas and the child is also based there, it was a weird rule.
