The Milwaukee Detox Center assists clients in detoxing from heroin, cocaine, and/or other illegal drug addictions. The client may be made dependent on alcohol or other illegal substances. The treatment is meant to be utilized for those who abuse drugs and alcohol. Detox may consist of two drugs or alcohol. Detoxification is the removal of toxic substances. The body eliminates drugs from the body. It is not intended to treat drug-seeking behavior. It's an intermediate therapy for drug addiction. Milwaukee Detox Center is accredited by DHS 75.07 and DHS 75.09. We provide twenty-four-hour nursing under a doctor's care. We serve residentially, twenty-four hours a day. We contracted a team of professionals including physicians, nurses, mental and substance abuse counselors. Milwaukee Detox Center offers all services in a manner that is sensitive to culture and values. We provide treatment to groups with special needs (e.g., gender, sexual orientation and older adults; Spanish speaking; co-occurring disorder, developmental disabilities, etc.). All individuals in need of care will have equitable entry regardless of race, gender or disability.

This facility received multiple users' feedback, much of it praising the service. Most noticeably, patients and their families appreciated the sensible health care and consideration given by the staff. This and the commitment and compassion we can see in the feedback are special. Some guests favored the way the facility opted to forego luxury amenities in favor of genuine human care. They discussed how this facility was the only available resource for people who couldn't afford other facilities. Although the service was bare-bones, particularly with respect to architecture, it provided a critical lifeline for patients with addiction. Still, the lack of insurance and funds meant that the facility played an instrumental role in saving people's lives.
