Yukon is a German shorthaired pointer (left) and Cinder is an Australian Shepherd (right). Yukon is a nice bird dog, but he is also super lazy. He occasionally helps me with my classes. Cinder, my super-smart, chatty, loving, sassy herding robot is a sassy, smart, intelligent, chatty machine. Also, I have two tortoises and two cats. I have been professionally training animals for about 11 years. I am a member of Force Free Trainers of Wisconsin and the Pet Professional Guild. I am also a Canine Good Citizen trainer and assessor for the American Kennel Club. My personality is laid-back and I take an approach that is realistic and non-judgemental to dog training. Every person and pet learns differently, and I will work with you to discover the learning style that suits your pet and you. Food is primary reinforcement for my teaching. I specialize in fearful, timid, and reactivity and human-related aggression. The group class is a good option for families, who have fun training their dogs but also want consistent, force-free guidance. Training your dog in a group class is much more efficient and faster than doing so individually. We keep our group classes small (5 dogs maximum per class) to give you personal attention and allow you to ask questions quickly. Clickers are encouraged, but not mandatory. In class, we do not permit any tools that are aversive, such as prong collars or choke chains. Weiss leashes and remote collars also fall under this dictionary.

The client took their dogs to Happy Tails for training, and they took the training very seriously. They saw a great deal of growth in their dogs, and they were given the tools they needed to keep working with the dogs on their own. The beginning of the training was a very productive process, and they learned a lot. The client had to take the training during COVID, and they could only have one person per dog there. They decided to take two dogs at once which was difficult, but they learned a lot of tricks from the trainer to help the dogs. The dogs really loved the training, and they had special needs. However, they were well taken care of and learned a lot. This dog training school is the best in the region.
