After graduation with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from UWM, he joined the corporate sales team. He finally realized after about one year that selling products he did not have complete control of or pride in was difficult. Therefore, in 1995, he quit corporate life and started as a painting contractor. The first home KAL Group painted was so good. From then, KAL Group has been prosperous.
