We are new to the area and really had no idea what law firm to choose after several phone calls, Hougum Law Frim was my last call, I knew I had picked the right firm! Andrew and Sam at the Plover location are SO PERSONABLE, we felt "at home" with them. Friendly, helpful and listens to what WE asked and needed. Nothing but constant breakdowns in communication. After only two months my case manager was switched to someone else. Fast forward a year and my case manager was let go from the company and they dropped me as a client because of miscommunication. Clearly my case manager was a part of the miscommunication which is why she is no longer a part of the company. Instead of making it right, in such a hard time already, they decided to leave me out to dry and drop me as a client. Unbelievable and I can’t express how much I would not recommend this law firm. It’s been nothing but delays for 15 months: filing the probate months after the decedents death, failing to timely publish the notice to creditors, the assigned attorney left the firm and we were notified a month after the fact, appointments scheduled months in advance were canceled at the last minute, a legal assistant that made numerous paperwork mistakes, and now today, notice of yet more delays due to another staff member leaving... As an attorney myself, I get the distinct impression low level non-attorney staff are assigned to cases and given little to no supervision and that the firm just doesn’t have capacity to handle their caseload. I wouldn’t recommend this firm to anyone. The constant delays and mistakes are 100% unacceptable. (1-star review, Google Reviews) Mary was outstanding!!
