Client Review Highlights: Rennie as my GAL, recommended empathically. She managed to hear my side and my ex's POV very well and kept a holistic approach despite some heavy evidence brought to the table. I felt like I could tell her anything, even if it didn't cast me in the best light, and that my worries were heard impartially. That was very validating and really helped restore my faith in the system during a very contentious divorce. However, her presence, respectful communication, and refusal to let things get too negative made me feel better about the agreement, even though it wasn't what I had wanted initially. I think she might have helped us avoid more court proceedings. She also responded quickly and accommodated a few minor requests for my agreement, which I appreciated (including being present at a few of the initial custody exchanges, doing a lot of the mediation in our conference room to make my ex and me more comfortable, and answering questions or things that came up around the holidays when we couldn't reach our lawyers!). Rennie always made time for me and was easy to reach, and when she wasn't, she let me know she was unavailable. I would highly recommend Rennie. Rennie was great! She was an attorney/GAL for a divorce that my ex was going through. She was very attentive, helpful, and communicative. She was also able to find the middle ground between my ex-wife and me and our custody concerns for our children. Would highly recommend Rennie as a GAL or an individual lawyer. Paralegal or unnamed (or maybe both?) was amazing to work with! She was very attentive and always made sure to answer my messages within a reasonable amount of time. She was very knowledgeable and was always available when I needed help. She not only wanted what was best for me in the process but also my children who were also involved. Highly recommend this lawyer and her staff! I cannot in good faith recommend rennie to represent anyone. In my opinion, it was clear that Rennie was not interested in representing based of facts and evidence but rather based off her own agenda and prejudice. If you are looking for an objective party to represent your child and advocate for them during a very difficult family situation – you will not find that this lawyer was able to do that. She actively made no attempt to represent my child based off their best interests and actively disregarded the facts in the case. There was so much about her that made her so unapproachable and that she would not listen to us when trying to explain our side of the story, and that was so frustrating that you could tell she didn’t care. She didn’t even take those who were involved and compromised into consideration and only talked about what the court demands. We pay her to have her be a voice for us, but she didn’t do anything to help us out at all. This is why I can’t in good faith recommend Rennie to represent anyone else. Rennie may have been appointed as attorney ad litem by my ex wife’s lawyer and my lawyers request. It was clear from our first encounter that she had her own agenda. She was also unprofessional in the way she handled the case and my children, and she took advantage of the fact that the circumstances were difficult for me. She was also very rude and not considerate of the fact that she was supposed to be following the law and not creating any confusion or disrespecting the family. Because of the way that Rennie acted in the situation she put our family in a worse situation, and refused to talk about a way out for my children and me. However, when she about the situation she wanted to just close the case and leave us with whatever decision the court made without any regard to how it would affect our future. I don't recommend this lawyer Rennie because she was not honest in the way she was supposed to represent me and my children, and this means that she was not worth the time that we put into her. Good lawyer had me nervous sometimes lol but she got the end results that I wanted.. Rennie did not advocate for me effectively nor did she seem interested in ascertaining the facts in the case. She did not come into the case with an open mind or heart but had a very strong agenda and prejudice, which is not what I consider to be a good quality in a lawyer tasked with representing someone. Unlike what I was expecting, communication was poor from her side and there were many delays in responding and following up on anything at all. This lawyer treated me poorly; she was so rude that I wouldn’t have expected a criminal to be treated that way. Because of how much she didn’t seem to care about the case it made me think that she was only in the case to get paid and not to actually care about our feelings. This was wrong and I don’t recommend Rennie to anyone because of how poorly she treated me. Note: After this review posted there were numerous follow up correspondences trying to convince me to take it down. I may have received more emails for the review than for the services I paid for. Rennie was amazing and compassionate through the whole process. She was very knowledgeable about what was the right course of action when it came to visitation schedules and things like that that I was not sure about. Rennie was with me all the time not leaving out any details even when it looked difficult because I could imagine that my kids would have been torn between their parents and this would have led to more heartbreak and on my side. Rennie was very understanding and this gave me hope that she was in touch with her feelings and those of my kids too. Rennie was always there and she could always respond to my messages on time even though she was so busy. In some cases, she had to reorder her schedule just to attend my issues and this left a smile on my face knowing that they were somewhere and that my kids would not be disappointed because of such little mistakes. Rennie was amazing and I recommend her highly for the good job she did. Rennie was highly professional and very knowledgeable regarding my legal case. She was very detailed in her approach to research, understand and analyze the situation I was in and the outcome that could result in it. Rennie listened to my concerns and fears and helped me understand what pieces of information were important and those that were not and that saved me my time and my energy because I don't think I could have managed to go through such a situation without having to go through all those details. Rennie was very supportive and took the time to explain everything to me so that I could understand and make informed decisions even when it was hard for me to be in a position to make such decisions. Rennie was very good at what she did and I loved the way she took her time to understand me even when nobody had ever tried to understand me. I highly appreciate what she did in my case and I recommend her highly. Rennie was amazing helping our family become complete! Answered all our questions and helped us step by step! Rennie was exactly what I needed for an unfortunate situation. She had a way of calming the situation and encouraging respect in the whole process. Rennie doesn’t create or encourage drama and she works for you and this is to mean that she's competent and Rennie will never force you to change your decision or make last-minute orders or unnecessary orders without making sure that you are comfortable with what you agreed on. Rennie has changed my life and though I had a very negative vision of lawyers that they are mostly criminals I now know that there are decent, honest lawyers with a purpose of saving the families, and in fact she is definitely one of those!
