Shepherd's Care Foundation

Shepherd’s Care Foundation is a non-profit faith-based business that cares for more than 900 seniors in Edmonton and Barrhead. These locations include seven types of living where you can find your perfect fit — independent living and supportive living, long-term, complex, and supportive care. The origin was simple. In the early 60s, there were very few seniors' homes in Edmonton. People were searching for a place for their aging parents and saw a gap in eldercare services in the area. A tiny group of individuals was concerned about their parents' welfare. A way to address this concern arose, and they felt compelled to do more for their parents as well as the rest of Edmonton. Shepherd's Care’s first location had just one coffee shop, but it has grown significantly. Today, the company has six Edmonton locations and one Barrhead location, serving 900 seniors and others.
