BTM Lawyers Customer Feedback: 1. I would highly recommend BTM!! However, I have not engaged any services with them, so I cannot comment on the quality of their legal services. However, my experience communicating with Angela Desaulniers (Family Paralegal) was very frustrating. The communication was not necessary adversarial and unprofessional or empathetic. People seeking legal advice and particularly family legal matters are dealing with a lot of emotional and financial issues so respectful communication is critical. Phrases such as “Govern yourself accordingly” may be standard in legal speak, but they sound dismissive and unnecessarily negative when used in sensitive areas. Professionals dealing with families should understand that the other person may not be in a good state of mind. This feedback is taken constructively because communication is essential, so next time any personnel is talking to a client or opposing party can maintain professionalism and respect. 2. I had such a terrible experience with this company. In January, I contacted them asking for legal help regarding my workplace slip and fall, which resulted in my pregnancy. Since the case involves a third party and involves areas I was not aware of, I needed their advice and guidance during the emotional period. I was told some lawyer named Daniel would be getting back to me, and then all this went silent. After two weeks, I had to follow up, where I was told he was catching up on emails and would be talking to me soon. After that, there was no communication. I called them again last week and left a voicemail, but no callback. Due to their follow-up and communication, I am left wondering how they can handle claims and how they can support their clients. This experience left me frustrated and disappointed, especially due to the situation's urgency. 3. Sunny Dharni was the best thing that ever happened in my decision as an executor. He is very professional, has a lot of empathy, and was very thorough. Even my very old friend who was hard of hearing was treated with a lot of respect and patience by him. His team members, Kathryn and Georgina, always kept me posted, and whenever they were needed, I would promptly receive a call or email. The office secretary is also very pleasant and welcoming. Thank you, Sunny, and to the whole team. I would still recommend people to come to you for competent legal counsel.
