About this business

This program is designed for beginners aged 8 and above who are at pre-level 6 or level 1 and 2 in gymnastics (or who are transitioning to level 3). This is a 1.5-hour class that includes warm-up, strength training, flexibility, and then all apparatus and tramp rotations. With gym closures all year and interrupted programming, this program will incorporate skills work, flexibility for their level, strength, and the appropriate work on apparatuses and trampoline. The girls program works around the COLA (competitive optional levels) gymnasts, which requires more time and is harder relative to the provincial (level 1-5) work. It gives them the chance to work kips, front and back-saltauto’s, and other harder skills instead of continuing with the level 3 pre-level 4 stuff. This class is for any athlete who is a level 6 and above and ready for more challenges. The class is scheduled for two hours during the week. Athletes must attend twice weekly because the skills needed for these levels will require more practice. Classes include special attention to flexibility, strength, and conditioning, and all apparatus and tramp rotations. This is a high-intensity practice (HIP). All athletes must be ready at the beginning of class or come a little earlier to warm up overorderly to prepare for the class. Make sure to e-mail the coach and provide a list of skills and drills that the athlete is working on.
