George Pearson Centre

George Pearson Centre, which began providing care in 1952, now supports 114 people with significant medical and physical issues. Redevelopment strategies include demolishing the obsolete building and constructing a combination of new homes and support communities. Collaborative models are being tested so that people can live as autonomously as they desire in an inclusive and accessible neighborhood. However, once the new homes are built and all residents are moved to new locations, the George Pearson Centre will be shut down.
