Valhalla Pure Outfitters was inspired by a Viking groom's resting place and is known as a legendary location. The company's namesake, Norse Mythology, Valhalla, was where a noble and courageous Viking would live after death. Everyone was invited to the grand banquet, where drinks flowed, music played, and good energy abounded. Valhalla Pure Outfitters is a fabrication from the minds and hearts of a group of Kootenays residents who persuaded the 70s BC Government to establish the Valhalla Provincial Park, which is located on an isolated part of the Southern Selkirk Mountains near New Denver, Nelson. The Valhalla Park is our favorite mountain playground. It's remote, rugged, large, and scenic. When we founded Valhalla Pure Outfitters in 1990, we didn't have to travel to an exotic location to locate the materials and clothing we needed to create our outdoor gear. We acquired all the rare and important characteristics of our gear from the rapid changes in weather and the harsh use of the Valhalla Range.
