About Mike Davison Mike Davison MD CCFP was born and raised in Victoria. He graduated from Uvic Medical School, completed his residency training at Queen's University and received his medical degree from UBC. Dr. Mike Davison MD, CCFP was raised in Victoria and completed his undergraduate degree at Uvic. He graduated from the University of British Columbia Medical School and finished his residency at Queen's University. Cascadia laser was founded by him, who has been interested in the application of the most advanced medical technologies to his practices for a very long time. After completing his residency, Dr. Davison worked as an emergency room doctor, family physician, and hospitalist in a rural area of Northern Ontario. Dr. Davison was also employed in Calgary, where he was Medical Director at the Sarcee Transitional Care Program. This 36-bed inpatient facility in Calgary specialized in long-term rehab for patients recovering from surgery but not able to live in their community. In Victoria, he continues as a family physician. The College of Physicians of British Columbia requires that Dr. Davison be trained in the latest ANSI/CSA Laser Standards. Additionally, Dr. Davison is an Instructor of Clinical Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Over the years, he has prepared a large number of residents for careers in medicine. These include residents who went on to become family physicians, hospitalists or cosmetic doctors. During his free time, Dr. Davison enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking in the backcountry and camping. He also plays soccer with a men's local team. His wife is also a doctor, and together they have two young children.
