Reliable About Urge Studios and Its Founders Grahame McCuaig founded Urge Studios with his friend and master piercer, "Fantastic Johnny Faulds". McCuaig has been practicing tattooing for the last two decades and he it has been his sole source of income. Moreover, John started his tattooing career when he left the army where he was an officer for over a decade. He joined McCuaig, and together, they decided that they would combine their efforts and expertise to open a tattoo shop in Victoria. McCuaig had worked in Victoria for a couple of years and wanted to put his experience to the test. Urge Studios is a Victoria-based business with a proud military lineage. From when it was founded to today, the shop has been through three locations. Initially, it was located in at 711 Johnson Street, then moved to 1419 Douglas Street, and now it occupies the third location at the corner of Fort Street and Cook Streets (McCuaig, 2021). This will be the final location that the shop will have, as the plan is to expand in its vicinity. Therefore, as the founder, I can say that Urge Studios has had a low turnover for its staff over the years. Most of the previous artists have moved to other places in the world or opened their own shops like "Black and Blue Tattoo" and Wolf Sheep. Also, the shop has produced some of the most talented tattoo artists in the West Coast that have also left the business (McCuaig, 2021).
