All Star Dance Studio

Marie Zimmer started her dance training and teaching in Fred Astaire Studios in 1976 and competed in 1977 with four students in Canadian Amateur Competitions that won first place in all four categories. Marie won the Canadian Professional Latin Championships in 1973 and came in first place in the Canadian Professional Dance Competitions. She won the top studio and teacher awards from the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. As an Artist in the classroom for the Hamilton-Wentworth school board, she teaches children and adults Social & International Ballroom & Latin Dance, Folk, Jazz Ballet, Line Dancing, and Hip-Hop and choreographs theatre dance. Marie began dance at six. Born in Minto New Brunswick, she moved to Hamilton Ontario and enrolled in one of Toronto's Best Dance Schools, "Roland and Romaine School of Dance." She did Jazz Ballet, and Modeling and was a member of "Pig & Whistle Dancers" that were featured on TV Network. She danced in Fashion Shows and performed in local theatres. All Star Dance Studio prides itself on offering a fun and entertaining environment for its students as they learn various types of dance. Dances include Latin and Ballroom in social, international, and competitions. We cater to kids, adults (including weddings), and couples. The studio offers Ballroom and Latin dance lessons for both adults and children. Lady's Latin Rhythms, Belly Dancing, and Yoga are some of the ladies' classes available. Line Dancing has also been added to the list of fitness. Classes are also available for kids and teens in Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop, with lessons offered six days a week.
