The experience might vary depending on the employees you encounter but I was really upset after my visit. A lot of factors contributed to it, student who was working with my hair wasn’t really warm, I could sense throughout the session how she was forcing herself to act normal and friendly but she was very troubled about the fact I had thick hair and she made comment about it multiple times “you have very thick hair” not in a manner where she was complementing me but in an absurd manner which made me really uncomfortable, I really wanted to quit this experience but it was too late . On top of this the instructor/supervisor was very rude. Even when he took over brush and colour from the student to teach her, he pulled my hair so roughly that it was hurting and for this behaviour of his even the student apologized after he left. He was constantly reminding the student to quickly wash the hair, suggest me to come different day for left over haircut. After the student washed my hair, she asked the instructor that my hair looks too light compared to what we wanted to achieve. The same instructor just forced an answer “No that is what the picture was”. Whereas it was nowhere close because I was clearly told we can’t and shouldn’t make it look too blonde and I agreed I didn’t want it to look like pale yellow. Someone else has also left a review and something similar happened to me about the pricing too. They told me how an extra bucket would cost around 20 more dollars and she said I don’t think we would need more than 2 extra ones and it shouldn’t go over 140(100+20+20). I was hoping the same since I didn’t want it to go higher and they ended up using 1.5 extra so which should have been 130$. Now throughout the balayage session all I am hearing is I am going to apply this now, I am applying that now and now at the end when student had to dry my hair after it was looking yellowish and instructor mentioned that is what was in the picture I showed. Another supervisor came up and asked how I wanted to pay because they had to close soon. I asked the student it should be 130 and tax, she said yeah I think so. Now the supervisor came and said its 195 and I asked how. They had no clear explanation, all they kept saying was we told you it can be any amount, we applied a lot of things because you hair is thick, it is very expensive outside which is 400$ and how I should just be accepting what they wanted. I was very very upset and I would have happily paid if everything else went well but this was a horrible experience I had to literally argue with them and then they came down to 140$. This isn’t what customer service should really be and all I know is I am never going there again. The only reason I went there was the hairstylist I usually go to was not available but I had to visit her as soon as I could after this session to make my hair look better!
