Sandra Bald Jones Highland Dance Studio

SBJ School of Highland Dance, under the directorship of Sandra Bald Jones since 1962, has been dedicated to Highland Dance in every aspect. Our studio offers classes for recreation, competition, and performance. The SBJ School has had students win Provincial, Canadian, and World Highland Dance Championships, as well as major Championships in Canada, the United States, Scotland, and Australia. Our Schiehallion Dancers is a studio dance group for dancers 13 years and older who have a strong commitment to Highland Dance. Our classes are also an adventure and a lot of fun! All classes are educational and designed for students to learn the correct technique, dances, and steps necessary to compete and pass the STDA Dance Exams. The classes are grouped by age and by competition levels. The expectation is that dancers who wish to compete come to two classes per week. We believe in training properly to maintain the standard of the dance and the dancer. Dancers must train to develop a standard that can compete at the provincial, national, and even international levels.
